A bag filled with frozen vegetables can be an economical way to spend less on groceries this fall, as grocery stores have started stocking the items.
The fanny packs, which cost about $20 each, are available at several grocery stores and will be available for purchase starting Tuesday.
Some grocery stores in metro Washington are offering the packs in bulk and will begin stocking the food items in September, according to the store manager, Katelyn K. Williams.
She said shoppers may want to stock up on the items at first to save some money but could also save on the prices.
She said shoppers who want to save even more money should also shop at grocery stores that sell bulk foods and organic produce.
The fanny bags will also be sold at grocery outlets.
A variety of grocery store locations will have the bag in stock, including Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Kroger and other retailers.
A fanny bag is made from a plastic bag filled to the brim with frozen vegetable products.
The frozen vegetable items can be purchased at the grocery store or online.
It’s a great opportunity to save on groceries and also to save a little bit of money, she said.
The bags come in a variety of sizes, from small to large and can be bought in bulk or as a one-time purchase.
They can also be purchased in smaller sizes, she added.
Fanny packs are available for a limited time at grocery retailers, including Wal-Mart, Target, Costco and Kroger.
